Sean is a Hawkes Bay local who entered the world of engineering in 2012 and after completing his apprenticeship in Hawkes Bay decided that self-employment was always the direction he wanted to go. Sean has worked all over New Zealand and in the UK on varying-sized jobs and after 8 years of contracting decided it was time to venture into the next phase of self-employment giving life to D & S Engineering Ltd. Sean is a qualified light fabrication engineer that has worked across all the varying disciplines of engineering throughout his career. Having grown up in Hawkes Bay and being a proud Kiwi Sean is passionate about being part of such an integral part of New Zealand and prides himself in providing the best quality service he can to the companies that keep New Zealand moving.

Foreman/Director

Darren immigrated to New Zealand in 2009 after a very successful career in the UK. Entering the engineering trade when he was 16 and soon after completing his four year Sheetmetal apprenticeship Darren has been working across the varying fields engineering has to offer ever since. With over thirty years of experience in the industry and experience working for large international companies like GEA and Tetrapak Darren has built up a very expansive range of skills. This experience has made him a very formidable tradesman but also has given him an insight on how large, professional, established companies operate. We hope to bring that knowledge and mix it in with a personable touch to D & S Engineering. Darren recently became a full New Zealand citizen and is excited to grow D & S engineering into a flourishing company that offers a premium quality service whilst not taking away from the honesty and integrity the company has as a mainstay in its foundations.
